For the super-keen potter who is ready to move on from lessons to begin their own practice, we offer a light, bright and well-equipped studio space for the hand builder. Many of the tools and equipment you might need are available for you to use whilst you explore your creativity and develop your style.
Included in the monthly fee is stoneware clay (we use white stoneware, either Draycott White or ES5 Earthstone Original), a wide range of glazes and underglazes, including brush-on and dipping glazes, kiln firings and your own shelf to store your ware. We also have access to a kitchen area and a multipurpose room for when you want to grab a cuppa and a comfy seat for 5 minutes!
Prior to sign up, you will be invited along to view the space, and discuss the details with the studio manager. To arrange this, contact us.
We are based in Station Road Studios in the SOHA building opposite Didcot Parkway, so we are really convenient for those travelling by bus and train from Oxford, Reading and surrounding towns and villages. We have free parking on site after business hours & weekends, and during business hours, we are a short walk from a variety of off-site car parks.
